一般产品安全指令2001/95/EC（GPSD)
欧盟委员会2001年发布2001/95/EC指令(General Product Safety Directive）GPSD, 俗称一般产品安全指令，2006年7月22日，欧盟委员会发布标准清单，取代以前公布的所有官方标准清单，有关标准由欧洲标准化组织按欧盟委员会指示制定的，涉及运动设备、童装、奶嘴、打火机、自行车、家具(包括折叠床)等产品。
根据一般产品安全指令规定，生产商或代理商有责任确保在市场上销售的产品均属安全。这项规定适用于在市场销售的所有消费品，或以其他方式向消费者供应的一切产品。
有关当局或法庭(如有争议)必须根据下列几项因素确定产品是否安全：·
-产品的特点，包括成分、包装，以及装配、安装及保养说明;
-外观，包括标签，有关使用、弃置的任何警告或说明，以及任何其他说明或资料(如生产商资料);
-产品可能对其产生危险的消费者类别(儿童或长者)。
生产商必须承担责任，确保在市场供应及销售的产品安全可靠，例如提供资料及警告，此外，假如产品可能引起危险，生产商必须采取适当行动，例如将产品从市场收回、给予消费者足够或有效警告，或向消费者收回产品。
